Abstract Choosing by Advantages (CBA) is a new generation decision-making method utilized mainly in lean construction, sustainable design, methods and materials selections for the last two decades. The value-based approach of CBA considers cost as constraint uses advantages decision alternatives preference, choice, ranking. This can benefit facilities management (FM) processes that are challenged with budget dominance decision-making. study conducted comprehensive literature review about revealing benefits areas improvement while also investigating possible application FM practices. covered 67 relevant studies topic area over decades identified research clusters these articles, focusing on beyond scope Lean Construction. Moreover, revealed CBA, such lack structure Importance Advance (IoA) scale, minimizing bias stakeholder consensus, considering weights and/or prioritization factors. In addition to increasing awareness method, this where has potential benefit; building maintenance decision-making, capital project planning, prioritization, procurement, buy vs. lease analysis, type site selection, resource personnel allocation
